Xaar PLC approached Dumo Studios to provide a touch screen solution for use with various touch screen kiosks at Drupa 2008 (One of the print world’s largest and foremost exhibitions to focus on the print media industry).
Xaar the market-focused technology leader wanted to create an application to capture user information, along with the ability to teach people about their products in an interactive fun way.
The suitable solution was to create an enticing opportunity for users to potentially win an iPod Touch. Users were asked 15 questions with multiple choice answers about Xaar’s product range.
When a user answered each question they were told whether they had answered the question correctly or not, and then given the correct answer. This way the user would learn information about Xaar’s products in a fun and exciting way.
At the end of the application the users details where stored, and they were then informed that they would be contacted if they were the lucky winner with the most correct answers.
The application was a great success, giving Xaar a great deal of marketing information and possible sales leads.
